Welcome to Our School

Burnchurch National School is a Catholic Co-educational (GAA mad!) Primary School.

 

We are situated just kilometres from the southside of Kilkenny City in beside the historic Burnchurch Castle.

Our pupils enjoy the small classes and friendly atmosphere of a small rural school. We strive to provide a safe and friendly learning environment that is inclusive of all children, celebrating individual difference.

Here at Burnchurch N.S. children are not only challenged academically but also participate in a wide range of extra-curricular activities; hurling, camogie, debating, soccer, coding, singing, dance to name but a few.  Our school colours are the most beautiful combination known to humankind – BLACK AND AMBER!

We are very lucky to have excellent facilities here at our school including an

Astro-turf, Agility Trail, Sensory Garden, Basketball Court, Climbing Wall and Grass Lawn.
